Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with LAYERED.
Because our products include fragrance, custom scents, and body products, our shipping process includes special handling to ensure safe and timely delivery.

1. Order Processing Times

Standard Products (Layering Kits, Body Butters, Body Oils):

  • Processing time: 2–5 business days

Custom Scents:

  • Processing begins once your scent form is completed.
  • Creation time: 7–14 business days
  • If additional adjustments are requested, processing may extend up to 21 business days.

Processing time does not include weekends or holidays.

2. Shipping Times

Shipping time depends on your location and the carrier’s schedule.

Domestic Shipping (within the U.S.)

  • Standard Shipping: 3–7 business days
  • Expedited Shipping: 2–4 business days
  • Priority Shipping: 1–3 business days

International Shipping

  • Standard International: 7–21 business days
  • Some countries may require additional customs clearance time.

Note: Customs fees, import taxes, or duties are the responsibility of the customer.

3. Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Shipping address
  • Weight & dimensions of items
  • Selected shipping method

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

4. Tracking Information

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with:

  • Tracking number
  • Carrier information
  • Estimated delivery date

Tracking updates may take up to 24–48 hours to appear.

5. Custom Scent Delivery

Custom scents require additional preparation time.
Your package may include:

  • Custom-blended fragrance
  • Sample vials
  • Final approved scent
  • Instructions or scent notes

Custom scent orders are shipped only after formulation is complete.

6. Wrong Address or Missing Information

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address.

We are not responsible for:

  • Packages shipped to the wrong address
  • Delays caused by incomplete or incorrect addresses
  • Reshipment fees

If you entered an incorrect address, contact us within 1 hour of ordering.

7. Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Packages

Once an order is marked “Delivered” by the carrier:

  • LAYERED is not responsible for stolen packages
  • Please file a claim with the carrier directly

For lost or delayed packages:

  • Contact the carrier first
  • Then contact us with your order number if assistance is needed

8. Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Take clear photos of the damage
  2. Email us within 48 hours of delivery:
    (your support email)
  3. Include your order number

We will send a replacement or store credit, depending on stock availability.

9. International Restrictions

Some countries restrict the shipment of:

  • Perfume
  • Alcohol-based products
  • Oils and cosmetics

If your country restricts these items, your order may be canceled or refused by customs.

The customer is responsible for:

  • Customs return fees
  • Local regulations
  • Import duties

10. Split Shipments

If your order contains multiple items, they may ship separately depending on:

  • Availability
  • Factory location
  • Custom scent timelines

You will receive a tracking number for each package.

11. Holiday Shipping

During peak seasons (Black Friday, Holidays), processing and shipping may be extended by 3–10 business days.
