Refund policy
1. Overview
At LAYERED, every product is crafted with care and intention. Due to the personal nature of fragrance, body products, and custom scent creation, we have specific return and refund guidelines to ensure quality, hygiene, and fairness.
By purchasing from our store, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on the following:
A. Custom Scents
Any product created based on your scent form, preferences, or personalized request is final sale and non-refundable.
B. Opened or Used Fragrance Products
Perfume layering kits, oils, and butters that have been opened, tested, or sprayed cannot be returned.
C. Body Butters & Body Oils
Due to hygiene and contamination concerns, these items are non-returnable once shipped.
D. Discovery Samples / Sample Kits
Samples and discovery sets are final sale.
3. Returns (If Applicable)
We only accept returns if:
- The wrong item was sent
- The product arrived damaged
- A kit is missing items
- You received a duplicate order by mistake
To qualify:
- The item must be unopened, unused, and in its original packaging
- You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery
If approved, we will provide return instructions.
We do not accept packages sent back without authorization.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective:
- Email us within 48 hours of delivery:
(your support email) - Include your order number
- Attach clear photos or videos of the damage
After verification, we will issue:
- A replacement, OR
- Store credit
Refunds for damaged items are only offered when replacement is not possible.
5. Refunds (If Approved)
If a refund is approved under our policy:
- Refunds are issued to the original method of payment
- Processing time is typically 5–10 business days
- Shipping fees are non-refundable
- We do not refund delays caused by carriers
6. Exchanges
We currently do not offer exchanges due to hygiene and customization factors.
If you received the wrong item, we will replace it at no extra cost.
7. Order Cancellations
Orders may only be canceled within 1 hour of purchase
and only if they have not yet begun processing.
Custom scent projects cannot be canceled once formulation has started.
8. Lost or Stolen Packages
LAYERED is not responsible for:
- Packages marked as delivered
- Incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout
We recommend contacting the carrier directly in these cases.
